Timothée Chalamet in "The King."

Recently, Netflix released a new movie called The King. This movie stars Timothée Chalamet as Henry V. It is a historical drama about Henry V’s rise to power after the deaths of his father and brother, which force him into his position as the King of England.

The movie centers around Henry V’s decision to go to war with France, but the ending reveals a plot twist. The beginning of the movie displays Henry’s relationship with his father and brother.

Throughout the movie, Henry is shown trying to figure out how to navigate his new position as king. He must do this with many obstacles standing in his way.

Personal Review:

I thought this movie was very interesting and very dramatic. Although some of the scenes lasted slightly too long for me, overall the movie was very enjoyable. Timothée Chalamet did a fantastic job of acting as Henry V.

The characters really help move along the storyline. I was completely surprised by the ending. I thought it was very fascinating how the love interest was not brought in until the last part of the movie because usually love interests are a huge part of the overall storyline.

I really enjoyed this movie and would recommend it to people who love historical dramas.

RATING: 4/5 Stars
