Keanu Reeves and Boban Marjanovic in "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum."

With the mandate to shelter in place, I have been watching many movies to stay entertained. Here are some of the films I have been enjoying if you are looking for something to pass the time!

“The Wedding Year” — This movie on Amazon Prime starring Sarah Hyland far exceeded my expectations. It is a movie about a girl in a new relationship. Both she and her boyfriend receive invitations to a multitude of weddings and become closer as they attend all of them. 5/5 Stars

“He’s Just Not That Into You” — Although this is an older movie, it has just come out on Netflix. I had never seen it, but it portrayed the many stages of different relationships. It also has many famous actors and actresses. 4/5 Stars

“Valentine’s Day” — This is another older movie as well, which also just came out on Netflix; this one also has many famous faces. I really enjoyed the different storylines in this movie and how most of them connected in some way to create some plot twists. 4.5/5 Stars

“Lying and Stealing” — This movie came out last year starring Theo James and Emily Ratajkowski. It is a heist movie and contains a lot of action. I am hoping they will make a sequel. 4.5/5 Stars

“True Lies” — This movie came out in 1994, but it was just as entertaining today. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. She discovers that he has been a spy throughout their marriage, and she joins him on a mission. 5/5 Stars

“Emma” - The newest adaptation of this Jane Austen classic recently came out in theaters, but was released early on-demand so people could watch at home. I really enjoyed the beautiful filming and costumes of this movie. Emma and Mr. Knightley are portrayed perfectly. 5/5 Stars

“Dark Phoenix” — This newest X-Men movie came out last year. Although it was not my favorite X-Men movie, I enjoyed being back with all the characters. It did not have my favorite storyline though. 3.5/5 Stars

“John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” — This movie is non-stop action. There is barely any dialogue and a lot of fighting. You will definitely like this if you love action movies. 3.5/5 Stars

“Mansfield Park” — This 1999 Jane Austen movie is on Netflix. The story revolves around Fanny Price and her new life at Mansfield Park, the home of her richer relatives. 4/5 Stars
