Jingle Bell Run

The 32nd Annual Jingle Bell Run will be held Sunday at Heartland Community College. Registration will open at 11:30 a.m. with the 5k run and one-mile walk will starting at 1 p.m.

The Jingle Bell Run will be held Sunday at the Heartland Community College Campus.

Registration will open at 11:30 a.m. A fun run for kids will be at 12:30 p.m. The 5k run and one-mile walk will kick off at 1 p.m. Following that will be an awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m.

Awards will be given to the top fundraisers, best costumes and fastest runners.

The event will end at 3:30 p.m.

The Jingle Bell Run is a fundraising event hosted by the Arthritis Foundation. The money that is raised from the event goes toward research, new medicines and treatments.

Registration is $40 for a timed 5k runner if registered Friday. The cost will be $45 on Saturday and Sunday. Registration for an un-timed 5k runner is $35 Friday or $40 Saturday and Sunday. The kids’ run will cost $20 Friday or $25 Saturday and Sunday.

Those interested in participating in the event can register online at arthritis.org or in person at Fleet Feet in Bloomington from 2-6 p.m. Registration will also be available at the race Sunday.

Those who are not able to participate but would still like to do so can donate at arthritis.org.

The goal for this year’s run is 400 participants and $25,000 raised.
