This year will be Bloomington’s 42nd annual Turkey Trot run.

The Turkey Trot is sponsored by Fleet Feet in Bloomington. This year's race is going to be unlike others as contestants will be participating in this event virtually.

Although the race is going to virtual, there will still be opportunities for prizes. Contestants who post their results to the itsracetime.com website will be entered in the chance for prizes. Along with those who take a selfie of themselves running their own virtual Turkey Trot can post it with the #BLOOMTURKEY2020 hashtag on their Facebook page.

You can submit your results anytime between  Nov. 26 and 29. The final results will be listed on Nov. 30 and prizes will be listed as well.

The Turkey Trot is a race that encourages people to get out and exercise before a day that includes lots of feasting.

Not only is Fleet Feet encouraging exercise, but they are also supporting giving back. They will have a Home Sweet Homes Ministries Food Pantry drop-off box for food donations on Thanksgiving Day. They will also be selling Turkey Trot shirts from previous years for $5. All proceeds made from the shirts will be donated to Home Sweet Homes Ministries as well.

Participants can stop by Fleet Feet any time before Nov. 23 to pick up a complimentary bib to wear on race day.
