Bloomington-Normal will be hosting the annual edition ofFlatConat West Expo Building of the Interstate Center this weekend, Friday to Sunday.

The tabletop gaming convention is entering its 19th year of existence and its 14th year at the Interstate Center. The convention boasts around 20 different vendors selling various board games, card games and more. 

The convention runs for three days. FlatCon will be held from 1-11 p.m. Friday, 9-11 a.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. 

A three-day pass is priced at $30, a pass for Friday only or Sunday only is $15  and a pass for Saturday is $20. 

All of the proceeds from FlatCon go to the American Cancer Society through the Gamers for LifeRelay for Life team. The convention raised $3,000 for cancer research in 2016. 

Alongside the various tabletop games, FlatCon will have spots for food trucks and concessions, tourneys and Live Action Roleplay events. 

There are also contests and raffles for attendees to enjoy. FlatCon also talks of “a few new surprises” on its website for this year’s convention. 

Theeventon  FlatCon's Facebook page currently has around 400 people interested in attending.
