It is Family Weekend at Illinois State University, and there is more than just tailgating and football to enjoy.

Normal ‘Til NineÂ
Uptown Normal is staying open until 9 p.m. this Saturday. Take your family or go with friends to check out the shops in Uptown. It is the perfect opportunity to see what each shop offers.
Downtown Bloomington First Friday
On the first Friday of each month downtown Bloomington holds its First Friday event that has a variety of things to enjoy. Visitors can enjoy an evening of music, art, street performers and more.
It can serve as a relaxing and fun way to kick off the weekend.
10th Annual Bloomington-Normal Zombie Walk
Get into costume early this year and dress up like a zombie. The annual Bloomington-Normal Zombie Walk will be in Anderson Park. The event will be from 4-9 p.m.
Zombie-goers can enjoy more than just the trail path — there will be a photo booth and a zombie dance.
University Galleries
Located in Uptown Normal, University Galleries is offering tours throughout the weekend. The gallery will have extended hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Erin Hayden: "Flower-o’-the-Moon"
Located at University Galleries in Uptown Normal, the event will debut six new paintings and a video by ISU alumna Erin Hayden.
McLean County Museum of History
Located in the center of downtown Bloomington, the McLean County Museum of History is free for all students. Grab a few friends and walk through the rooms to learn more about McLean County.
The museum also offers a new exhibit that examines Abraham Lincoln’s work as an attorney in McLean County
