Shane Dawson's long awaited collaboration with Jeffree Star dropped earlier this month. Dawson has also been documenting the process with a YouTube series, which concluded on Nov. 22.

It has been a long wait for the conclusion of Shane Dawson’s newest YouTube series as the finale dropped on Nov. 22.

The series revolved around Dawson’s collaboration with Jeffree Star, a YouTuber and makeup entrepreneur, for a makeup and merchandise collection.

The series started as an enigma as to why the two influencers have been missing in action in the YouTube world. Dawson normally does series with stars about their controversial stories or lives. This one, unlike his past series with Star, was different.

The series began with a look into a day in the life of Star as a makeup producer and beauty guru. It showed him at the office and visiting a mall for a meet and greet with fans at a Morphe store. The series then took a sudden turn.

Dawson decided to dive into the makeup world with the help of Star.

The influencer duo showed production, manufacturing and brainstorming plans for what turned out to be a collection that sold out worldwide within a day. Overall it brought both fan bases together.

The series also showed some very interesting personal moments. This includes Dawson’s engagement to long term boyfriend Ryland and Star coping with the death of two of his dogs.

Other juicy details in the series are interactions with the drama behind James Charles, who caused a scandal within the YouTube beauty community. It was hinted during the trailer for the series that it would be mentioned. Viewers were upset though that it was not addressed until the finale and only for a few short minutes.

There was also a scandal within the warehouse where some of Star’s own products were stolen and sold before they were launched. This clearly caused speculation with Dawson, who was trusting Star with the production of his first makeup launch.

Besides that, the series was executed well despite one flaw. The finale of the series dropped nearly a month after the episode following it, including a little under a month after the collection actually launched.

Overall, though, the finale allowed for viewers to infer that the collaboration between these two will not end and that there will always be more to come.

It was an emotional, unique and enlightening series that highlighted the production of a now craved for product.
