Do you have a pet that is sick and requires medical attention? SmartVet Mobile Veterinary Service cares for the health of your pets.
SmartVet is the only mobile veterinary practice that services the Bloomington-Normal area. The service is simplified because SmartVet goes to clients’ homes to perform veterinary services, which provides a comfortable environment for pets and their owners.
“Working here is a lot of fun; we get to see clients and pets in their own home. It is less stressful for both the employees and the pets, and it is a good way to get to know our clients better,” Office Manager Adrianne Dailey said.
Dr. Romanie Walter is the founder and a veterinarian at SmartVet. She has given presentations to the Illinois State University Student Pre-Veterinarian Association. Dr. Laura Peterson also works as a veterinarian at the practice.
SmartVet’s services include exams, vaccines, basic bloodwork, hospitalization, integrative therapy and more. For services that cannot be accomplished at home, such as surgery or radiographs, SmartVet has a facility at 507 Pine St. in Normal.
“We have Illinois State students as clients and we work with the Illinois State [‘Indy-pendence’] which is a student group for service dogs,” Dailey said.
SmartVet is open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m Saturday.
