Put another tally down for a new business in Bloomington. No worries, it is not another tempting frozen yogurt shop. However, it is one more enticing way for girls to spend money.
Francesca’s is a boutique full of cute clothing and accessories. It’s known for its adorable pieces and girly vibe all over the United States.
Illinois alone has 22 shops, and yes ladies, we have been granted the privilege to have one right in the Shoppes at College Hills.
I’ve walked by Francesca’s several times, but until recently, I had never taken the time to look inside.
From the outside it looks cluttered and a little overwhelming to be honest. I could tell that it would be small inside and thought that the shop wouldn’t be any different than other clothing stores.
That said, looks can be deceiving.
When I finally walked inside, the vibrant walls and organized shelves took me by surprise as I was instantly intrigued by the collection of random objects on the center table.
It isn’t every day that one can walk into what he or she thinks is a clothing store and find wine stoppers shaped like elephants or alarm clocks painted with a bright, Aztec design. I was so hooked on the table of outrageous items that I forgot I was there to shop for clothes.
Francesca’s seems to carry a particular trend of clothing. Most of the attire would seem to appeal to the girls who like the frilly, feminine style.
They do carry a wide variety of patterns, though. From floral to polka dots to chevron, the store has it all.
And not to worry, along the walls is purse and jewelry heaven, so mixing and matching is made easy.
As much as I loved all of the products, I did notice one downfall to Francesca’s. The prices aren’t exactly friendly to the average college student’s wallet.
The clothing and accessories aren’t as expensive as designer brand goods, but Francesca’s is definitely not a place to bargain shop. The price is often still worth it, as the clothes are so cute and trendy I would probably sacrifice the couple extra bucks.
After browsing the store and walking out with a new seasonal dress, I found myself rather impressed with Francesca’s selection. I’ll definitely make an annual “after paycheck” trip.
Francesca’s is an endearing, fresh addition to the College Hills businesses. After all, we’re all going to need somewhere to buy new pants after adding all of that frozen yogurt to our waistlines.
