Australian metal-core quintet Capture the Crown will be performing at The Castle Theatre in Bloomington on Friday.
According to the band, they live by one motto: “live fast, play fast, party fast.” Their rise to prominence has also been remarkably fast.
The band has quickly gained immense popularity since they plopped into the ever-expanding metal-core scene in early 2010.
The video for their debut single, the appropriately Aussie “You Call That A Knife? This Is A Knife!” swiftly raked in five million views on YouTube. Crikey, Mate!
Following the breakout success of their debut single, the group swiftly released a slew of other singles that were similarly gobbled up, followed by a full length album, “‘Til Death,” and an EP.
According to the band’s site, “Capture the Crown are not only a band, but the start of a growing movement.” If the massive amount of activity their videos have been garnering is any indication, “growing movement” seems like a pretty apt description for what the group is cultivating.
Capture the Crown will be supported by Secrets, Ice Nine Kills, My Ticket Home and City in the Sea. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. For more information and tickets, visit the Castle Theatre website at thecastletheatre.com
