A variety of new equipment has arrived just in time for the beginning of the semester crowds at the Student Fitness Center (SFS).
Dustin Soderman, assistant director for facilities at the Student Fitness Center, said students and members at the SFS can expect 14 new FreeMotion training machines, two additional treadmills and Matrix stairmasters.
FreeMotion equipment is now located on the second floor near the stairs leading up to the track while the treadmills and stairmasters can be found on the cardio balcony near the second floor fitness studios.
“These are some of the most cutting edge pieces of strength equipment on the market today, and we want to bring that to our users,” Soderman said.
Regulation rules will continue to be used by the new equipment, Soderman said. Users should be aware that the other pieces of equipment that are not free access incline to 30 degrees, which is double compared to the incline capacity of normal treadmills.
FreeMotion users are encouraged to visit freemotionfitness.com for tutorials to learn how to properly use the machines and maximize the workout experience.
