Chris Distefano and Carly Aquilino from MTV’s Girl Code/Guy Code gave ISU a night of comedy on Thursday at Braden Auditorium.
The event, hosted by University Program Board, brought plenty of laughs as Distefano and Aquilino came up individually to do some stand-up comedy. The comedians held nothing back with their jokes and were not afraid to get a little explicit. Random audience members and even the security were subjects of some of the jokes.
After the individual performances, the two came out for a Q&A session for the audience. The pair answered all types of questions such as whether or not they were dating, the most important girl/guy code and pet peeves. “I was extremely happy with the event,” UPB center stage committee chairperson Jenna Cusumano said.
“Chris and Carly were great to work with and they put on a great show for the students. This was one of our largest attended events and I am glad it was so successful.”
This event was free for everyone and lines to get inside crowded the first and second floor of the Bone Student Center. The first floor line went from Braden’s main entrance to the stairs entering Milner Library. Despite the long lines, there were still a few seats available for late-comers.
As Cusumano said, this was one of the most successful UPB events. It is not everyday that a famous person is a part of an ISU event and on Thursday audience members got two. For just a couple hours, fans received an unforgettable performance.
