University Galleries has requested an open call to all artists to be featured in their upcoming event Be-You [tiful] exhibition.
Artwork for the exhibition will be accepted from Tuesday until Thursday. The exhibition will be on view from Feb. 25 until March 26.
The Be-You [tiful] exhibition will feature a variety of artworks dealing with media representations of the body and cultural norms of body image. The exhibition occurs during National Eating Disorders Awareness Week in hopes of preventing eating disorders and negative body image.
There is no fee to participate in this event and all students enrolled at ISU, Illinois Wesleyan University, Lincoln College and Heartland Community College are welcome to participate. Non-art majors are encouraged by University Galleries to participate as well.
All art media will be accepted for the exhibition including but not limited to photography, printmaking, painting, sculpture, graphic design, video, drawing and performance.
To submit your art, bring your work to University Galleries, located in the Center for the Visual Arts Room 110, on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All art must be ready for presentation. Two-dimensional art must be framed or mounted on foam core.
