Valentine’s Day was just this past weekend. And if you were single for Valentine’s Day, you might as well have a sign on your forehead that says “LOSER,” right?
Single is fantastic and fun. Don’t let V-Day enthusiasts bring down your spirit.
Here are some reasons to celebrate your single life.
No one is telling you where you have to be
Honestly I can’t stand girls or guys for that matter that ask permission from their significant other to go somewhere or do something. YOU DON’T OWN ME. If you want to tell someone to sit and stay, go get a puppy.
Let’s be real here, “you” aren’t going to argue with you about anything. No bickering, no worries. I hate when you’re in a relationship and one little argument is spurred and the whole night is ruined…. Its like THANKS, but no thanks.
Gifts? What gift?
Girl gets V-Day gift from her boyfriend.
Girl says, “Awe, you’re so sweet”
Me: Don’t pretended like you didn’t just buy that for me this morning….
I can’t even pick out my outfit in the morning, let alone a man.
You don’t have to feel guilty about wanting alone time
Sometimes you just need a bubble bath with no interaction with humans to converse with. It is very relaxing.
It is better to be alone than in the wrong relationship
If you know it isn’t going anywhere… why are you still around?
The less time you spend trying to please others you can spend pleasing yourself.
This seems selfish, but really as humans we need that time to pamper ourselves and make ourselves the best we can be.
You can’t cheat on yourself…
You don’t have to feel obligated to do anything!
If you don’t want to go to the grocery store…DON’T who is stopping you?
When you’re single you don’t have anyone to please, impress, or disappoint. So gather up your girls and have a girls night out, run a hot bubble bath with a good book, or rent a movie and eat until you can’t move. Or…if you’re me, shop till you drop. SINGLE IS FANTASTIC.
