A parking ban on the streets in Normal has been activated until further notice.

A snow parking ban on all streets of Normal was issued this morning due to the latest winter storm.
Vehicles parked on the streets may be ticketed by the Normal Police Department. This ban will remain in effect until further notice.
Town of Normal residents must move their cars from the streets to a driveway, garage or parking lot until the parking ban is lifted.
“Residents who do not have a driveway or garage may park their cars for free in the parking lots of the Town’s parks,” a Town of Normal press release said.
Parks available for vehicle parking during the ban include Anderson, Fairview, Maxwell, Rosa Parks, Shepard and Underwood.
The purpose of a snow parking ban is to allow snow plow crews to effectively clear the entire street including parking areas, the press release said.
For more information on the parking ban, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (309) 454-9540.
