Jared Allen stays in the “Black and Blue” division and signs with the Chicago Bears. The Bears agreed to a four year contract with Jared Allen that could be worth up to $32 million. The deal also includes $15.5 million in guaranteed money and could be void after three years and $24 million. After losing defensive end Julius Peppers earlier in free agency to the Packers, Allen proves to be a more than capable replacement. Heading into his tenth season in the NFL, Allen has 128.5 career sacks which is currently 12th mostin NFL history. He also has seven consecutive double digit sack season, including 11.5 last season with the Minnesota Vikings. His pedigree will be a major help to a Bears defense that was near the bottom of the league last season. Welcome to Chicago, Jared Allen.
