Los Angeles police arrested San Francisco 49ers linebacker/defensive end Aldon Smith at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday afternoon after he indicated he was in possession of a bomb. Smith was booked later in the day on Sunday, according to the LAPD. Smith was charged with a false bomb report which could land him up to a year in jail. He did however post his $20,000 bond on Sunday night. The incident was sparked after Smith became impatient and uncooperative when he was selected for a random second screening. It was when he was talking to the TSA agent that he made the comment that he had a bomb in his possession. This incident was his third recent run-in with the law. In November, Smith pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of illegal possession of an assault rifle and he also missed five games last season while he was in an alcohol rehabilitation center after his second DUI since early 2012.
