One of the biggest MS fundraisers in the U.S. will be taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Bloomington.
The walk will be located at Tipton Park on E. College Ave. and Airport Road.
11 communities in Illinois have come together to hold the Annual MS Walk to raise money for facilities and research for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Illinois Chapter.
Online registration is now closed, but individuals can still register on Sunday at their local Walk MS site Registration Tent starting at noon. The one to two-mile walk begins at 1 p.m. with a rest stop mid-way.
To show support for those who have MS and their families, donations can also be made online or in person Sunday.
46 percent of the total goal has been reached with $25,132. The communities are hoping to reach $55,000.
Parking is free in the Tipton Park North lot next to the event. Water and snacks will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own nourishment as well.
For those who want to volunteer at their local Walk MS Sites, they can go to the Volunteer Check-in area at the event to find out more information about openings.
