The Unit Five School Board yesterday decided upon replacement Denise Schuster for the school board.
The replacement was chosen for Board Member Todd Ferguson. He will be moving out of state in the near future as a result of his occupation. Therefore, current Unit Five Citizens Advisory Council President Shuster will get the job.
Among five candidates interviewed and ten applications, Shuster was the final pick for the Unit Five School Board sear. Schuster has a degree in Music Education and is a former educator. She is now a manager at State Farm Bank. She will serve until the April 2015 election. At that election, a successor shall be elected to serve the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends in April 2017. Board members will officially appoint Schuster on Wednesday at the Board of Education meeting.
