Board of Trustees (BOT)Chairman, Michael McCuskey, announced his resignation at the BOT meeting Friday.

McCuskey’s term, which was originally set to end in 2017, will conclude at the end of this month. He has been on the BOT since 2005, and held the position as chairman for the last six years.

McCuskey said his resignation was originally decided last July; however, he had several people asking him to stay, so he agreed to another 10 months in office.

“It didn’t have anything to do with Tim Flanagan; it had to do with being 65 and soon 66,” McCuskey said. “I have been a judge for 25 years, and this was my side job for the last 10.”

Although he will no longer be affiliated with ISU, McCuskey still hopes to see his alma mater proudly represented by other students.

“There are plenty of people who do want to go here, and I hope to see that continue in the future,” he said.
