Redbird basketball opens play with an exhibition contest versus Lewis on Nov. 10 before the regular season opener at home at Redbird Arena against Utah State at 2:05 p.m. on Nov. 16.

ISU concludes its pre-Thanksgiving schedule in the Virgin Islands at the Paradise Jam from Nov. 21 to 24. The Redbirds open tournament play against Weber State at 8 p.m. on Nov. 21.

ISU plays host to Youngstown State on Nov. 29 and 2014 NCAA tournament qualifier Virginia Commonwealth on Dec. 2 before hitting the road for a pair of contests against Alabama-Birmingham on Dec. 7 and Big East foe DePaul on Dec. 14.

The Redbirds play three out of their last four non-conference games at home as they host Tennessee-Martin on Dec. 17, travel to 2014 CollegeInsider.com Tournament champion Murray State on Dec. 20, and host Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne on Dec. 22 and Quincy on Dec. 29.

“Once again, I am very happy with our non-conference schedule,” ISU head coach Dan Muller said. “We are in a great tournament and will play against some challenging and high-quality teams at home and on the road. We have a lot of work to do before November 10, but I could not be more excited about the group of players we have going into this season. Now let’s fill Redbird Arena every home game! Go ’Birds!”

2013-14 was last season and 2014-15 is this upcoming year. The headline should say 2014-15.
