Former Indiana Hoosier quarterback, Tre Roberson, transferred to Illinois State this past weekend and was added to the Redbird Roster by head coach Brock Spack, last Monday.

Roberson, a redshirt junior, will be eligible to play two seasons including the 2014 season due to NCAA transfer rules. Roberson played 23 games for the Hoosiers scoring 30 total touchdowns, 20 passing and 10 running.

“Tre is a very different option for us in that he can really run and throw on the run well. He certainly will add a different dimension to our quarterback position with his skill set alongside Blake [Winkler], Adam [Pittser], Jake [Kolbe] and Trevor [Rea],” Spack said.

Roberson’s role in the Redbird offense remains uncertain but he will only add to the current quarterback competition.
