“Our tournament circuit produces the cream of the crop with it comes to collegiate competition. When you look at our championship field, you’re looking at the best of the best anglers.”
– Hank Weldon

“It took us one day too long to figure out what we were doing, and if we had done as well on day one as we did on day two, we would have been better off, but we learned from our mistakes on day one and I’m happy with how we did in the end.”
– Bryce Wegman
ISU fishing team member
Thomas and Wegman qualified for the National Championship by finishing ninth at the Midwest Regional Competiton. ISU’s two anglers finished in ninth place with four fish caught and a total weight of 12 pounds, 2 ounces on day two and an accumulated five fish at 18 pounds, 1 ounce.
