If you are going home this weekend, it is the perfect time to collect things you may have forgotten to pack initially and bring them back to school. Check out some of the most common forgotten items.
Bring back warmer clothes for fall. This might include jeans, sweatshirts, sweaters, long sleeve T-shirts and leggings. It can get colder before Thanksgiving break so this is a good time to grab some fall and early winter clothing just in case. You might also want to take your warm-weather clothing like shorts, flip-flops and short sleeve T-shirts back home.
Is there not enough time for you to go to the dining center before class? Bring back some snacks to eat on the go. These might be chips, granola bars, sunflower seeds, nuts or crackers. Some other easy foods are juice boxes, applesauce, trail mix and dried fruit. Also bringing back a case of water or a water bottle with a filter may be helpful.
Essential items like notebooks, pencils and folders can sell quickly on campus. It is sometimes easier to find these supplies at home and bring them back to school. This is also a good time to buy any supplies you might need for a class like binders, binder-dividing tabs and notecards.
Labor Day weekend is also an ideal time to bring back any dorm room necessities. This could mean a printer, posters, three-drawer organizers, hangers or extra blankets. Bringing back medicines like Dayquil or Nyquil can also help in the long run — especially if you catch a cold when the weather changes and feel too miserable to go to the store.
