ISU names new interim vice president of University Advancement

Pat Vickerman will be interim vice president for University Advancement at Illinois State University effective Sept. 13.

Vickerman will be replacing Erin Minné, who accepted a position at DePaul University.

“Pat has a two-decade track record of success in fundraising and campaign planning, and we look forward to his leadership in University Advancement,” President Dietz said in a prepared release.

Vickerman will be in charge of fundraising efforts, strategic development and implementation of Illinois State’s comprehensive campaign. He also works with development staffs to enhance giving, engage alumni and raise the profile of the University. He has more than 20 years of experience with fundraising in higher education.

Vickerman served as planned giving specialist in the University of Iowa’s first $1 billion campaign, campaign director for Iowa State University’s $867 million campaign, and vice president for Bradley University’s $163 million campaign. Vickerman has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from University of Iowa.

President Dietz said the search for the next vice president for University Advancement will begin later this fall.
