America’s Got Talent viewing party to be hosted for ISU Alum

ISU alumnus Christian Stoinev will be returning to ISU from 7–9 p.m., Wednesday in the Brown Ballroom at the Bone Student Center.

The event will be a viewing party to watch Stoinev and his dog, Scooby, on “America’s Got Talent.”

The show will be free and open to the public.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. A recap of Stoinev’s previous performance will air from 7-8 p.m., followed by a live performance. His performance will determine if he advances to the top 12 on the show.

The night will also include refreshments and giveaways, all of which will be circus-themed.

Stoinev began performing at 5 years old and he is a fifth-generation circus performer. He was the first in his family to attend college.

He received his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from ISU and he worked on air with TV-10 News.

He performed with the Gamma Phi Circus during his college years. He served as the act captain and executive board officer in the troupe leadership. The event will be hosted by the ISU School of Communication and the Gamma Phi Circus.
