War Machine, formerly known as Jonathon Koppenhaver, appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday where he was charged with 32 felony crimes. War Machine, a professional MMA fighter, faces charges of attempted murder, domestic battery by strangulation, first-degree kidnapping, and sexual assault. These charges stem from an incident on Aug. 8 at the home of Christy Mack, an adult film star and War Machine’s former girlfriend.
After the alleged attack, Mack took to social media to make a statement. According to Mack, Koppenhaver attacked her and a male friend in the early hours of Aug. 8 and threatened her life with a knife. Mack managed to escape her house and seek help from someone in her neighborhood. War Machine is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 17.
