As a child growing up, dinosaurs were something that truly fascinated me. I would spend hours on end reading books and playing with figurines of these prehistoric creatures. Needless to say, "Jurassic Park" was always my favorite movie.

I would run around my back yard pretending that I was one of the characters in the film.

This obsession obviously faded after years went by, but I was still committed to seeing every single "Jurassic Park" sequel that followed the original. While of course the 1993 film was my favorite, those that followed were enough to keep me thoroughly entertained even as a teenager.

You may be asking yourself what exactly made me decide to blog about this rather random topic right about now and I don't blame you.

I was channel surfing the other night and came across this classic blockbuster, which got me thinking. It's been quite a few years since they came out with a sequel and as it turns out, there are rumors that Spielberg may be putting together a fourth film.

I personally cannot wait for the release of the sequel, title "The Extinction," which is scheduled to be released some time in 2012.

This newly acquired information was honestly enough to make my day. What about you guys? Any other dinosaur lovers out there?
