Windy City Wieners is a common stop for many Illinois State students in Uptown Normal. Windy City Wieners is one restaurant that offers a lot of food for little money. The low prices, friendly service, and quantity of food is what keeps my friends and me constantly coming back for more. They great prices are displayed through their Everyday Specials. It is almost unheard of to receive two Chicago Style hot dogs and fries for only $6.50. Other items on the $6.50 Everyday Special Menu include two Maxwell Street Polish, Gyros and fries, two Brats and fries, two Italian Sausages and fries, a chicken pita and fries and two pizza puffs and fries. If you decide not to order from the specials menu you are still getting a great deal, with a City Burger for only $3.50 or Chicken Tenders for only $3.85. Windy City Wieners also has daily specials to keep the prices low and the customers pleased. This quaint restaurant in Uptown has fed college students since 2009. They offer late night hours and a delivery service to keep students safe and full. The restaurant stays open until 1:45 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 2:45 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. I am personally a big fan of the Windy City Wieners restaurant. While I am away at school I like to enjoy a food that reminds me of home. Hog dogs are a staple of Chicago and a food item that reminds me of childhood and baseball games. Windy City Wieners is definitely s restaurant I would suggest to fellow students and customers who would like to enjoy a little piece of home. Although it is not quite the same as a real Chicago hot dog, it comes pretty close. Windy City Wieners had great service, great prices, and great food. |
