Earlier this month, the Internet and world were taken by storm by just one guy who happened to take a very attractive photo.

Running in the 2012 Cooper River Bridge Run in South Carolina, Zeddie Little happened to be waving at a friend on the sideline and when he turned forward, a photographer captured the perfect moment of him smiling, sun shining on his hair, with an effortless demeanor as he jogged.

The initial post on reddit was titled “My friend calls him Mr. Ridiculously Photogenic Guy,” which now has received over 40,000 up votes. With countless memes made after his image and an appearance on “Good Morning America,” Little’s life has been turned upside down in a matter of weeks.

Since his new found fame, Little will be running in the New York City marathon for the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. Besides being ridiculously photogenic and good looking, many people have wondered why there is such a huge fascination with this relatively anonymous man. For many people that become popular on the Internet, it is not in a positive way.

Memes like “Scumbag Steve” or “Bad Luck Brian” turn real people into characters that may have nothing to do with what they act like. For Little, his memes include phrases like “Runs marathon and wins … my heart,” or “Picture gets put up as employee of the month for a company that he doesn’t work for.”

While some may be more sexually suggestive, reddit and other content posting sites were abuzz with both men and women fascinated with this person.

Is it because Little is so raucously photogenic that his fame has risen, or is there something else at work?

Clearly, he is a healthy and kind person judging from his television appearances and websites where he answers fan questions. But his real fame comes from the fact that he is a normal, humble person like the rest of us and is using his fame to promote healthy behaviors like running and jogging.

However, it is likely that his fame will be limited to 15 minutes as soon as the next celebrity scandal takes over.

Maybe we need more celebrities like Little. Sure, all he did was manage to take a great photo, but many other reality show celebrities have much less talent than him and dominate the airwaves with shows like “The Bachelor” or “The Real Housewives.”

Most people would have probably not gone on national television to show their identity if they were made into a popular Internet meme. He also went as far as allowing people to ask him anything on a reddit discussion.

His transparency after going viral has done nothing but make people love him even more. And sorry ladies, but he’s been in a committed relationship for over five years.

Is he a perfect person? Nobody is perfect, and I’m sure there are things we still don’t know about him that may not make him as desirable. But he brought in a fresh new face to the Internet along with a personality that is hard to come by, especially online.

Whether he will remain popular is a mystery still, but I’m sure we can all count on Little to do good things in his life and sharing it with the world may just make it a better place.
