Last night’s season three finale of “Boardwalk Empire” was nothing short of a brilliant bloodbath.

If you’ve been keeping up with the HBO drama, you’re no stranger to the ongoing battle between city official Nucky Thompson and Sicilian gangster Gyp Rosetti.

Season three was full of vicious murders, surprising break-ups, intense scandals and a shift in power.

But nothing was as shocking as the finale, which revealed the answers to our never-ending questions.

I watched the entirety of this episode on the edge of my seat and couldn’t breathe easy until the credits began to roll.

The best part is that something outrageous is happening at each and every moment.

Al Capone and Chalky White join forces to help Nucky defeat the army behind Gyp.

But it’s Richard Harrow, aka The Tin Man, who makes a bold move that benefits not only Nucky, but Jimmy’s son as well.

Despite Gyp’s relentless efforts, it’s Nucky who comes out on top and takes back Atlantic City.

This episode serves as a strong reminder that no one is smarter than Mr. Thompson.

In the end, we see him trying to make amends with Margaret, but we’ll have to wait until next season to see if they truly make up.

The unification between diverse people in power is what makes this season unique.

Many of the scenes in the finale are exceptionally iconic, especially the Tin Man’s epic rampage.

The final episode of Boardwalk Empire really does have it all — suspense, sex, blood and scandal.

It will leave you ready for season four to begin.
