All of the ISU community is now able to follow along in the search for a new president in the comfort of their own home.

A new website will keep the community updated on the search for the Al Bowman’s replacement through posts intended to keep individuals informed on the process.

ISU faculty and staff are excited about the launch of the website and feel that it will serve as a resourceful tool to keep everyone that is interested knowledgeable of what is going on throughout campus.

“The selection process for ISU’s president is important to everyone, so it is important that we make sure that everyone can see the process and be a part of it,” Jay Groves, assistant to the ISU president, said.

Although the search committee will do a great deal of work on their own terms, ISU faculty and staff want anyone who is interested to be able to follow the process and have the opportunity to contribute their thoughts as the selection moves forward, Groves said.

“Anyone who is interested will be able to access the website since it is public information through the ISU website,” Groves said.

Currently, the website is located at IllinoisState.edu/PresidentialSearch and is linked to ISU’s homepage.

Accessing the website from the home page requires scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking on the emblem at the bottom right-hand corner.

The content posted on the website focuses on a variety of important components that play a role in the search process and was carefully selected with intention to help educate and inform those inquiring about the process.

“Content includes a description of the process, updates, the entire search team, information of the board of trustees, Student Government Association and the Alumni Association,” Groves said.

The website consists of news pertinent to the search, including when finalists will be on campus to visit, contact information for board members and consistent updates on applicants.

Currently, a search committee is being formed and will include faculty, staff and students, as well as representatives from the Alumni Association, ISU Foundation and Intercollegiate Athletics.

The consulting firm of Greenwood/Asher & Associates, Inc. is assisting in the beginning stages of the search and will act as a resource for the search committee.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to stay tuned to the website for the latest updates and information regarding the search process.
