If news audiences were placed in a room with nameless photographs of suspects, such as Adam Lanza, James Holmes and, most recently, the Tsarnaev brothers, many people would be able to identify them and the tragedy that they were associated with. When it comes to remembering the faces and names of victims, few individuals are able to recall their information due to the media’s trivial focus on the injured or deceased.

In high school, I hung out with a girl who had created a bucket list and consistently added to it. A few of the goals on the list were as simple as wanting to dye her hair, but most of them were probably not going to be accomplished until she was older, like wanting to travel the world.
