Pet Supply Plus owner Michael Fere is one of four owners of the black-owned business in Normal. He and his team own a total of seven stores across multiple states.

Many members of the Black Lives Matter movement are advocating for their communities to show more support for local black-owned businesses. The BLM movement is calling on communities for this increase in support as protests continue to take place across the nation. The BLM movement in the Bloomington-Normal area is shining light on how to support the movement by providing the community with a list of many of these local businesses.
