First Generation 

college students will celebrate First Generation Week starting Monday and will be marked by an array of activities.

The week began with Rock Climbing at the Rec from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday. Students are allowed to come and go as they please.

On Tuesday, free motivational wristbands will be distributed from noon to 1 p.m. on Schroeder Plaza.

A study jam will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Milner Library.

Donuts will be distributed for first-generation students Thursday at Schroeder Plaza.

The week is highlighted by the TRIO Gala, which begins at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Registration is required for the gala. RSVPs are required to attend.

Additionally, First Generation Day is Friday. Students can celebrate the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center. There will be panels and discussions about the experiences of first generation students.
