The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 974 new coronavirus cases and 23 additional deaths Monday. 

The statewide totals have reached 121,234 known cases and 5,412 known deaths across 101 Illinois counties. 

The age of cases ranges from younger than 1 to older than 100 years.

Illinois laboratories conducted a total of 20,014 specimens over the past 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 918,273 tests. 

The seven-day statewide positivity rate for cases from May 25 to May 31 stands at 6%.
