Bloomington Police were dispatched to the 800 block of E. Washington St. for a person who was shot at approximately 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located a 37-year-old male victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Officers gave the victim first aid.

Authorities state that it was reported that the male was shot outside during an argument. 

Initially, the Bloomington Fire and Rescue took the victim to the emergency room at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. 

The victim was later transferred to the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. According to authorities, the victim is believed to have life-threatening injuries. 

No other injuries were reported. This is believed to be an isolated incident and is not related to the looting type crimes over the past few days. 

Authorities report that there is no suspect information to release at this time and no arrests have been made.
