A man was robbed in broad daylight when a group of people approached his car asking for a ride.

According to an Illinois State University Police report, the man was in his car at the intersection of University Street and Beaufort Street around 10 a.m. on Saturday when a man and two women in their mid 20’s approached his car asking for a ride.

The report stated that the driver agreed to the ride. When the group got in his car, they displayed a stun gun and forced the man to drive them to an ATM and make multiple withdrawals, according to the report.

After cooperating, the group forced the driver to enter a campus building before fleeing the scene on foot, the report stated.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made at this time as the suspects have not been identified.
