Police are looking for information as they are investigating a stabbing near Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

According to a Bloomington Police report, at 8:30 a.m. Friday officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South East Street for a stabbing.

Upon arrival, police found a 19-year-old man who said he was walking on the sidewalk when he was stabbed, according to the report.

The young man had injuries that police found to be consistent with a stab wound. He was transported to St. Joseph’s Emergency Room. He is in stable condition, the report stated as of Friday.

BPD’s Crime Scene Unit processed the crime scene, but the circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still under investigation.

No other injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made at this time. No further information is available at the time.
