McLean County health officials reported 37 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the county total to 2,975 cases.

Currently, 1,341 are in home isolation, with seven individuals hospitalized and two in the intensive care unit. There have been 18 COVID-19-related deaths in McLean County. There are 1,609 individuals who have recovered.

The rolling seven-day positivity rate is 6.7% through Sept. 14. Over 61,800 tests have been done resulting in a 4.8% cumulative positivity rate. 

Illinois State University confirmed two new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the campus total among students to 1,385 cases. The campus positivity rate decreased to 6.2%. 

Asymptomatic students can get tested from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Brown Ballroom in the Bone Student Center and the Old Firehouse. Students, faculty and staff can get tested at the Interstate Center in Bloomington for free. 

The ISU COVID-19 dashboard will be updated this week to show positive cases instead of positive tests. Active and recovered cases will also be shown along with self-reported cases among staff and faculty. 

ISU’s positive COVID-19 cases are reflected in McLean County’s daily COVID-19 updates.
