Fifty-five new cases of COVID-19 were announced Sunday, bringing the total case count to 2,554 cases.

Currently, 1,261 people are in home isolation, six are hospitalized with two in intensive care unit. There are 1,270 individuals who have recovered. McLean has had 17 COVID-19-related deaths. 

The county’s seven-day positivity rate hit a new high of 12.5% through Sept. 5. Over 53,000 tests have been done, resulting in a cumulative positivity rate of 4.8%. 

ISU confirmed 31 new cases over the weekend. Twelve were announced Saturday and 19 announced Sunday. The campus positivity rate is 16.9%.

The testing sites in the Brown Ballroom in the Bone Student Center and the Old Firehouse behind Cardinal Court are closed for the holiday weekend and will reopen Tuesday morning. 

Students can get tested for free from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Interstate Center in Bloomington. The testing site will be closed Monday for Labor Day.
