road work

Resurfacing work is scheduled to got underway on West College Avenue between Kingsley and School Street in Normal earlier this week and is continuing.

In a news release, the Town of Normal said milling on the section of the street was scheduled to begin Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, on Friday tack coating will be applied with assorted other stages of resurfacing continuing until Aug. 8.

Parallel parking on the street will be prohibited by the town and the street will be subject to lane closures during milling, tack coating and asphalt pacing. Temporary No Parking signs will be posted as needed, the town said, as needed in the afternoons and early evening on the day before each operation is scheduled.
