A suspect was arrested for burglary Thursday at the Casey's General Store in Normal.

According to a clerk working at the 1301 S. Main St. location, the suspect, 21-year-old Willis L. Liverman of Normal, reached over the counter while the drawer was opened Tuesday.

Evidence was recovered from a residence in the 400 block of West Vernon Avenue in Normal. Liverman was charged with one count of Burglary and one count of Theft with Prior Conviction and is currently being held at the McLean County Jail pending review by the McLean County State’s Attorney.

Before his arrest, Liverman was last seen fleeing the business on foot. There were no injuries to the clerk and a weapon was not used or threatened.
