A Bloomington man is in custody after stabbing two people Saturday night.

According to a Bloomington Police Department release earlier Sunday morning, a man and a woman were reportedly found with stab wounds at 8:05 p.m. at the 1200 block of Zeta Street. When officers arrived, both victims had multiple serious injuries and were sent to a local hospital to be treated immediately. The conditions of the two are not known as of Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the Maple Grove Estates mobile home park, which is located on the Southwest side of Bloomington, BPD said.

A 36-year-old Bloomington man was arrested in close proximity to where the stabbings took place and is being held in the McLean County jail. The case is in review by the McLean County State’s Attorney’s office and an official charge has yet to be announced.

The case is still under further investigation. Anyone with information about the stabbings is being asked by the BPD to contact detective Jeff Engle at 309-434-2371 or detective Tim Power at 309-434-2579.
