After a third-place finish Tuesday at the Dayton Invitational, Illinois State University senior golfer Becca Black was named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, per an announcement Wednesday.

Black led the Redbirds in the invite, shooting six strokes over par for a score of 146. This is Black's first weekly award as a member of the ’Birds.

The Redbirds will be back in action Oct. 28-30 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Kapolei, Hawaii.
