Following another huge rushing game against Southern Illinois, senior Marshaun Coprich has earned Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Coprich rushed for more yards than any player in the country on Saturday in the comeback win over the Salukis.
Coprich’s 254 yards were four short of his career best, set last season in the FCS quarterfinals at Eastern Washington, and rank No. 4 on the ISU single-game list.
This is his second time this season winning the award. His previous accolade was earned after his performance at Eastern Illinois on Sept. 19, when he rushed for 178-yards and two touchdowns.
Coprich will be honored on Saturday in the regular-season finale, when the Redbirds host South Dakota at Hancock Stadium. A win will at least clinch a share of the MVFC championship for the second year in a row.
