A spectacular season for Illinois State midfielder Kate Del Fava keeps getting better. The senior was named the Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week this week for the third straight week.

Del Fava, who currently leads the MVC in goals (8) and points (17), scored three goals and also had an assist in ISU's split this past weekend. She also managed seven total points for the weekend,

Of her three goals over the weekend, two of them came in Friday's 3-0 win over Northern Illinois. Del Fava is currently fourth in the NCAA in total goals, and fifth in total points.

The Kenosha, Wisconsin, native is one of two players in MVC history to win the award three straight times, joining Drake's Rebecca Rodgers. Along with this, Del Fava is currently ninth all-time in ISU history in goals (16), and eighth in career minutes played (6,062).

Del Fava and the Redbirds are back in action 7 p.m. Friday at Adelaide Street Field, where they will take on Utah State.
