In a season highlighted by an impressive nine-game winning streak, Illinois State University soccer was well-represented in the annual Missouri Valley Conference awards banquet on Thursday ahead of the MVC semifinals Friday.

Headlining the event was ISU senior midfielder Kate Del Fava, who unsurprisingly earned the MVC Player of the Year award after leading the conference in goals (15), points (34) and game-winning goals. She was also named to the MVC All-Conference First Team for the third time in her career.

Del Fava was not the only member of the team who earned an award, however, as seven other members of the team were placed on respective All-MVC teams. Senior goalkeeper Haley Smith, who holds the program record for career shutouts with 26, joined Del Fava on the first team along with junior center back Alissa Ramsden.
