The Redbirds will play the South Dakota Saturday, looking to grab their sixth win against the Coyotes.

Illinois State football will play at the DakotaDome against South Dakota for just the sixth time in its series.

The South Dakota Coyotes (3-3, 2-1 MVFC) and Redbirds (3-4, 1-3 MVFC) will be playing for the chance to stay in the competition for FCS playoffs and to stay alive in the conference.

The past five face-offs have resulted in victories each time for the Redbirds. Though the Redbirds may not completely dominate this game like they did last year with a final score of 46-0, they are still picked for this weekend's win.

The Redbirds ended a three-game conference losing streak last weekend against Southern Illinois at home. The home win was a moral boost for the team and fans, with a lead of 31-28 over the Salukis.
