Former Illinois State guard Isaac Gassman has found a new home.

The Ottawa, Illinois native will continue his playing career at Grand Valley State University. GVSU is a Division II school located in Allendale, Michigan, and is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Gassman appeared in 58 games during his ISU career, starting in two contests. This past season, Gassman appeared in 26 games (two starts), averaging 3.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game while shooting 39.4% from the field (40.5% from three). 

During the 2017-18 season, Gassman averaged 3.8 ppg, 1.8 rpg and 0.5 apg while shooting 43.1% from the field (39.1% from three). Gassman redshirted the 2016-17 season.

In high school, Gassman averaged 17.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.9 apg and 1.3 steals per game as a senior. The 6 foot 5 guard was named the 2016 Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference West Most Valuable Player.

Gassman will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Lakers.
